Wood Prize Philharmonic Society of Arlington 2008 Young Artist Competition 01/09 First place tie Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. 01/09 Second place Quincy Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. 2008 11/08 First Place Tie in the Seven Hills Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. 07/08 Participation in the Jacob Flier Competition at PianoSUmmer in New Paltz, N.Y, led to full scholarship for the upcoming summer program. 5/08 Awarded the Music Guild Award "Music Worcester Young Artists Competition", at WPI and also received the opportunity to perform for the Music Worcester Guild on May 15th, at the Tatnuck Country Club, for their luncheon. 4/08 2nd Place - Leonard D. Wood Prize Philharmonic Society of Arlington 2008 Young Artist Competition 04/08 Nominated for the Outstanding Student Leader Award for the Massachusetts Arts Education Committee. Submitted from WGBH's "From the Top." 2/08 Mackenzie was named an Ambassador for "From the Top's" Educational Team.
