PianoSummer
at New Paltz
Now in its fourteenth year, PianoSummer is an international
summer institute and festival dedicated solely to piano music.
It features an integrated approach to learning and performance
under the artistic direction of master pianist and teacher Vladimir
Feltsman. Gifted students from around the world join with devoted
musicians and teachers to learn more about the art of the piano
and, ultimately, more about themselves and their place in the
world of music.
The Walden
School
The Walden School Young Musicians Program provides an unparalleled
creative summer experience for musically inclined students ages
9 to 18. Part school, part camp, and part festival, the program
convenes each summer for five weeks in Dublin, NH. Through rigorous
and innovative daily instruction, students hone their musical and
creative skills within a supportive community of like-minded peers
and mentors.
Summer Sonatina
International Piano Camp encourages students to become dedicated,
serious musicians who develop resourcefulness, thoughtfulness and
self-discipline. Students participate in sight-reading, chorus,
theory, and composition classes and enjoy many recreational activities.
Summer Sonatina is a "camp" where students live in the
house with the director and faculty. Mackenzie is in the front row,
last one on the right.
Nativity School
of Worcester
A tuition-free, independent Jesuit middle school for inner-city
boys living in the vulnerable neighborhoods of Worcester, Massachusetts.
Now in their sixth year, Nativity exists first and foremost to
provide an exceptional educational opportunity to boys from disadvantaged
backgrounds. In a structured learning environment including
an 11-hour school day, individual tutoring, and small classes
our students develop the character, skills and discipline
needed to become not only productive citizens, but truly "men
for others."
Annual Meeting and the Start of our 160th Year
Were celebrating the start of our 160th year and are proud
to be the oldest child and family service agency in Worcester! Chartered
in 1849, Childrens Friend began as a home for unwanted and
neglected children. Today, we are still going strong with four critical
programs that help the children and families of central Massachusetts.
Mackenzie studied with Dean Arvidson for four years. Dean is
a pianist, performer, and teacher. This site gives information
about his CD's, performances, and background.
