My Night at the White House 2005 & More
Mackenzie and his family traveled to Washington, D.C.
where he performed live at the White House for a second
time on December 21, 2005. Just as it had been the first
time, it was a thrill and an honor to be invited back.

Mackenzie and invited him to appear live on the 5 O'clock

played a teaser of Debussy's "Claire De Lune" before
being interviewed. Afterward he played a request from anchor
David Wade, the theme from "Peanuts". He also played
"I'll be home for Christmas", which he dedicated
to our troops who are so generously fighting for our country.
Mackenzie also appeared Dec. 15th at noon on Boston's Channel

he performed for the president a second time on Dec.
21st. Photos to be posted here soon!
Mackenzie was so excited to be contacted by The
White House and be invited to play and entertain
for the holiday season on December 4, 2004. He performed
traditional Christmas music on a beautiful Steinway
piano. He performed over 35 song selections in a two-hour
program. The family then received a private tour and
took plenty of pictures.

When Mackenzie arrived home, he made a presentation
about the White House to the second, third, and fourth
graders at his school. He also brought back souvenirs
for his class. Mackenzie and his family were there
all weekend and took in all the sites including Washington
Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, and
Arlington National cemetery to name a few. He was
thrilled to receive a poster designed by New Jersey
artist, Elise Primavera. The large poster was of a
reindeer performing on a piano. It read Holiday
Open House, White House, The Little Piano Man, Paxton,
MA. It was a great gift to be treasured forever.
Mackenzie received a beautiful thank you note from
first lady, Laura Bush, thanking him for sharing his
talent for the holiday season.
